Kayla Hands is a certified firearms instructor with over seven years of experience teaching shooters of all skill levels.
She holds NRA certifications as a Range Safety Officer (RSO), Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO), and NRA Pistol Instructor, and has taught a wide variety of courses including Introduction to Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun, Women’s Nights, Defensive Pistol, and Everyday Carry, as well as other practical firearms courses.
Kayla has worked at multiple shooting ranges and previously managed a shooting range in Colorado, giving her a strong foundation in range operations, safety standards, and instructor development. She is also an active IDPA competitor, bringing practical, real-world shooting experience into her instruction.
In addition to her firearms background, Kayla has experience working with Search and Rescue teams in Colorado, reinforcing her ability to remain calm, adaptable, and safety-focused in high-stress environments.
Kayla is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming training environment for everyone, regardless of background or experience level. She has experience working with people with disabilities and is committed to adapting instruction to meet individual needs, ensuring all students feel respected, supported, and empowered to learn.
